The government of Somalia appealed to hold OIC emergency meeting and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu invited his colleagues to hold the meeting in Istanbul.
OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu will also attend the meeting. For the first time since 2006, OIC Executive Committee gathers outside Jeddah – in Istanbul.
Somalia’s President Sharif Sheikh Ahmed will also join the meeting to discuss the issue of humanitarian aid to the disastrous regions of his country.
