Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov receives EU Commissioner for Energy GÃ¼nther Oettinger

Baku - APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received EU Commissioner for Energy GÃ¼nther Oettinger, press service of the Foreign Ministry told APA. Within the framework of the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current state and development perspectives of cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU in energy sphere, as well as regional energy projects. Minister Mammadyarov noted that energy sources of Azerbaijan had been directed to supply the world trade with extra energy sources and that it preferred to use diversification in carrying the energy products. GÃ¼nther Oettinger said that Azerbaijan played an important role in the energy supply of EU and noted the importance of continuing the cooperation in this sphere. Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.
