Baku. Ramil Mammadli – APA. President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu, who is visiting Azerbaijan, failed to meet with heads of a group of opposition parties. Chairman of Citizen and Development Party Ali Aliyev told APA that as chairman of Muasir Musavat Party Hafiz Aliyev was invited to the meeting, other opposition parties – members of Azadlig bloc Azerbaijan Popular Front Party, Citizen and Development, Liberal Party, Azerbaijan Democratic Party and Musavat Party protested against it. As a sign of protest they refused to meet.

Head of administration of Musavat Arif Hajili told APA that he had a short discussion with Cavusoglu, as he had gone to the meeting earlier.
“Later, it became known that Hafiz Hajiyev had been invited to the meeting. Therefore Azadlig bloc refused to attend the meeting, I did not join the meeting either,” he said.

ADP chairman Sardar Jalaloglu told APA that he was late for the meeting.
“Therefore, I met with PACE President after Hafiz Hajiyev met with Mevlut Cavusoglu. I expressed my protest and had discussions on the socio-political processes in the country,” he said.

It was impossible to learn Hajiyev’s attitude towards the problem.
