Azerbaijanâ€™s President receives PACE President

Baku â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s President Ilham Aliyev received President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Mevlut Cavusoglu, APA reports. The head of state congratulated Mevlut Cavusoglu on his election as president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. Regarding the election of Turkeyâ€™s representative to the post as a fair decision, President expressed his hope that PACE would fulfill its duties successfully during Mevlut Cavusogluâ€™s presidency.

The head of state appreciated that in capacity of PACE President Mevlut Cavusoglu paid one of his first visits to Azerbaijan. He expressed his confidence that the visit would contribute to the cooperation between the Parliamentary Assembly and Azerbaijan.

Mevlut Cavusoglu thanked to President Ilham Aliyev for his support in the election as PACE President. He underlined that they had been successfully cooperating with the Azerbaijanâ€™s parliamentary delegation to PACE for long years.

The sides also exchanged views on the present state and prospects of the cooperation between Azerbaijan and PACE.
