Tehran to host international nuclear disarmament conference

Baku. Suleyman Farzaliyev â€“ APA. On April 17-19, an international nuclear disarmament conference will take place in Tehran, spokesman for the Iranian embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari told APA. He said the nuclear weapons created serious threat to peace and international security. â€œThe conference will research problems of prevention of mass destruction weapons in the world. It purposes to elaborate mechanisms for realization of the world without nuclear weapons and to encourage the countries to strengthen their efforts for non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. It needs to research the nuclear doctrines and their non-conformity with the current international situationâ€.

Abbas Isgandari said prevention of vertical development of the nuclear weapons was one of the most important duties of the international institutes. â€œThe global essence of non-proliferation of nuclear weapons is one of the legal and useful ways of their prevention. The world community must force all countries to join the treaty on non-proliferation and to establish their nuclear activities under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agencyâ€.
