Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. “The teaching and protection of the Russian language in Azerbaijan is a unique case,†Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan Vladimir Dorokhin said, APA reports.
“I have seen it with own eyes today, acquainted myself how Russian is taught to pupils. We are very glad that the Russian language is supported in Azerbaijan on the governmental level,†he said.
The ambassador said the diplomatic mission was cooperating with Azerbaijan’s Education Ministry.
“For the first time Russian is taught in Azerbaijan as a foreign language. Therefore we are offering methodical help, we help to increase the proficiency of teachers,†he said.
