Nureddin Aras: â€œArmenians vainly think about the opening of bordersâ€

Igdir. Vugar Masimoglu â€“ APA. â€œTurkey-Armenia borders can be opened only under certain conditions. First, Armenia must leave the occupied lands of Azerbaijanâ€, head of the Iravan Turks Solidarity Organization, former municipality mayor of Igdir Nureddin Aras told APA correspondent. â€œWe have never heard from the Turkish officials that â€œthe borders will be openedâ€, but the mass media of both countries reported about â€œthe preparation for the opening of Alican checkpointâ€. We immediately visited the area and learned the situation there. We didnâ€™t see any developments there. It seems some people spread lying information in attempt to damage relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey. We donâ€™t wish thatâ€.

Aras said Turkey and Azerbaijan must unite the efforts. â€œWe, the Azerbaijani Turks living in Igdir, donâ€™t want the opening of borders under any condition. While Armenians are not leaving the occupied lands and not restoring the material heritage they destroyed, not leaving the â€œGreat Armeniaâ€ dreams and not refusing the territorial and false â€œgenocideâ€ claims, we will not allow the opening of bordersâ€.

The former municipality mayor reminded that every year Armenians bring the false â€œgenocideâ€ claims on agenda on April 24 claiming that 1.5 million Armenians were killed and trying to achieve recognition from the world parliaments. â€œLet them find though one mass grave in the territory of Turkey, which can confirm the killing of 1.5 million Armenians. But we found 16 mass graves only in Igdir, where the Turks killed by Armenian were buried. We asked the relevant organizations to open these graves. The scientists will begin researches there in near future. We will prove all over the world that Armenians committed genocide against the Turkish people. Our fathers were massacred. We have a number of documents and evidences proving that. The last genocide act committed by Armenians was in Khojaly, where they killed 613 innocent people. They occupied 20 percent of Azerbaijani lands. Now they want to open the borders. The Turkish nation is a great nation and forgets everything quickly, but it canâ€™t forget the painful cuts to its heart. The Armenians vainly think about the opening of borders. Turkey has a united state policy on this issue. The borders can be opened only under the certain conditions. First, Armenia must leave the occupied lands of Azerbaijanâ€.
