Saudi Ambassador: â€œSaudi Arabia will not establish diplomatic relations with Armenia until liberation of Azerbaijani lands from occupationâ€

Baku. Lachin Sultanovaâ€“APA. Azerbaijan Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov received copy of credentials from the newly-appointed ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Azerbaijan Fahd bin Ali aj-Dusari, press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA. Mammadyarov said as a part of the Islamic ummah, there is a special attitude to Saudi Arabia in Azerbaijan. The minister said Saudi Arabia was always supporting Azerbaijan in the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict and as a real friend, was together with Azerbaijan in this painful issue. Mammadyarov said Azerbaijan shared the Saudi Arabiaâ€™s position in the settlement of Middle East crisis, was interested in peace and stability in Gaza Strip and was planning to contribute to the construction of social facilities in the region.

In his turn, Ambassador Fahd bin Ali al-Dusari said Saudi Arabia, as a friendly country, was always sensibly approaching the Azerbaijanâ€™s problems and was always ready to support Azerbaijan in solution of these problems. The ambassador said Saudi Arabia wouldnâ€™t establish diplomatic relations with Armenia until liberation of Azerbaijani lands, restoration of Azerbaijanâ€™s territorial integrity and securing of Azerbaijanâ€™s interests in the settlement of the conflict.

The ambassador highly appreciated the Azerbaijanâ€™s position in the settlement of Middle East crisis and its efforts for reconstruction of Gaza Strip.
