APA reports according to the statistics of the Central Bank, that the volume of currency transactions in USD decreased by 2.8 times compared to the same period of last year. In other words, the volume of currency transactions in USD as of September 1 was $4,223,118,900, while this figure was $11,697,183,300.
Foreign exchange cash in the amount of $2,219,224,900 were sold in January-August, down 4.17 times compared to the same period of last year. In eight months of this year, $2,003,894,000 was sold. This figure is 1.21% times less compared to the same period of last year.
The volume of currency transactions in Euro declined by 1.53 times in eight months of this year. Euro operations stood at € 624,054,100 in January-August, €950,620,600 in the same period of 2015.
Foreign exchange cash in the amount of €389,465,400 were sold in five months of this year, down 1.96 times compared to the same period of last year. In January-August, €231,588,700 was purchased. This figure is 1.23 times more compared to the same period of last year.
