Police conduct special op in Azerbaijanâ€™s Zagatala, 6 detained - <span style="color: red;">UPDATED-1

Zagatala residents – Elshad Musayev, Abakar Gaziyev, Islam Aghalarov, Vugar Jabrayilov, Bashir Hamzayev and Vagif Padarov, who are suspected of spreading the ideas of religious intolerance, striving to attract the citizens into their ranks by use of force and conducting destructive work the district residents, were detained, said the statement.

During the inspection, 2 submachine guns, 2 pistols, 13 hand grenades, 310 cartridges of various calibers, 5 TNT blocks and also banned religious books were seized from them and their homes.

Urgent investigative actions are underway to expose criminal connections of the organized group, as well as to prosecute other members of the group.

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov – APA. Four persons have been detained in a special operation conducted by Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry in the country’s Zagatala district.

APA has learned that the detainees are the district residents – Vagif Padarov, Vugar, Abdurrahman and Islam, who are believed to be members of the religious sect Wahhabi.

Baku. Vugar Heydarov – APA. Azerbaijan’s Interior Ministry is conducting a special operation in the country’s Zagatala district to investigate the reasons of the explosion that took place in the office of district police officer Rovshan Baliyev (born in 1971).

Several persons have already been detained. Among those are the persons who are believed to be members of the religious sect Wahhabi, APA has learned.
