Tehran. Suleyman Farzaliyev - APA. Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan Elman Rustamov, who is on a visit to Tehran, has met with the Iranian Minister of Information and Communications Technology, the co-chairman of the Iran-Azerbaijan intergovernmental commission Mahmoud Vaezi, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.
Vaezi said banking sector of both countries must make concessions to both state and private sector: “This will increase the trade turnover”.
Rustamov noted that a committee has been established in order to develop the banking cooperation between Iran and Azerbaijan: “Chairs the committee are deputy chairmen of central Bank of the both countries. This committee is to solve the existing problems in banking cooperation between the two countries. The committee will also try to establish brokerage relations and launch new bank branches, as well as develop other services”.
