Baku. Musa Ahmadov – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2016, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 7,435,400,000, up AZN 97.3 mln or 1.33% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said foreign liabilities grew AZN 23.8 mln or 0.32% in March.
At the same time, compared to December 2015, banks’ total foreign liabilities decreased AZN 769.1 mln or 9.37% in March 2016.
At the same time, as of April 1, 2016, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 9,127.5 mln, up AZN 4,581.1 mln or 2.01 times in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets increased AZN 1,777.1 mln or 24.18% in March.
