World Bank expects surplus in Azerbaijan

World Bank expects the surplus of Azerbaijan's consolidated budget to make up 4.3% of GDP, APA-Economics reports citing updated regional report of the World Bank.

The surplus will be supported by favorable oil and gas prices, rising budget revenues from reviving economic activity and fixed expenditures under the new budget rule, which targets the non-oil / gas initial balance expected to take effect in 2022. In 2023, the surplus is projected at 4.4% of GDP.
