In 2021, the volume of remittances by individuals from Russia to Azerbaijan made up USD 986 mln., according to the calculations of APA-Economics based on the information of the Russian Central Bank.
This indicator is 9,4% more in comparison to 2020.
During the reporting period, the average amount of one transfer made up USD 230. 81% of transfers directed to Azerbaijan, were sent by Russian residents.
In the 4th quarter alone, in October-December USD 284 mln. was transferred to Azerbaijan from Russia. It is 1,1% more in comparison to 3rd quarter and 31,5% more in comparison to the relevant period of 2020.
