Further discussions have been held on a new draft Convention between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland on the elimination of double taxation and prevention of tax evasion with respect to taxes on income and capital gains, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Tax Service.
During the meeting, attended by a delegation from the State Tax Service and authorized representatives of the UK's Tax and Customs Administration, the parties exchanged views on various provisions of the draft Convention.
Orkhan Musayev, Head of the Main Department of International Taxation and Tax Monitoring of the State Tax Service, emphasized the importance of the Convention in strengthening bilateral economic relations and promoting business partnerships. The parties noted that improving joint activities is important for increasing the efficiency of tax administration.
The discussions on developing cooperation in the field of taxation and improving the existing legal framework were held in a constructive atmosphere of mutual understanding and cooperation.
