During the eleven months of 2022, the balance of foreign trade, which is the main component of the balance of payments, generated a positive balance in the amount of 23.5 billion US dollars, or 2.5 times more than in the corresponding period of the previous year, says the statement issued by the Central Bank of Azerbaijan on the main directions of monetary policy for 2023, APA reports.
The statement reads that with a surplus balance of payments, the country's strategic foreign exchange reserves increased by 12.3% or 6.5 billion US dollars in 11 months and reached 59.8 billion US dollars.
