Azerbaijan's state budget to exceed AZN 42 billion in 2027

Azerbaijan's state budget revenues for 2027 are forecasted at AZN 39 billion 234 million, while expenditures are forecastED at AZN 42 billion 400 million, APA-Economics reports citing Ministry of Finance's budget figures for 2027 and the subsequent three years.

It is noted that revenues will increase by 1.6% and expenditures by 1.7% compared to the approved forecast for 2026.

Consequently, a state budget deficit of AZN 3 billion 166 million is expected. This figure represents 2.2% of the projected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and marks a 2.3% increase year-on-year.

Of the total budget revenues, AZN 15 billion 480 million (39.5%) will come from the oil and gas sector, while AZN 23 billion 754 million (60.5%) will be derived from the non-oil and gas sector.

Regarding state budget expenditures, AZN 24 billion 771.7 million (59.6%) are allocated for current expenses, AZN 14 billion 319.3 million (34.5%) for capital expenditures, and AZN 2 billion 457.6 million (5.9%) for expenses related to servicing state debt and obligations.
