The total balance of payments of Azerbaijan in 2021 made up USD 3,081 or 5.6% of GDP, APA-Economics reports citing Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Balance of payments last year was affected by the recovery of prices in global goods markets and a significant increase in non-oil export.
A surplus of USD 8.3 bln. appeared in the balance of current operations, a deficit of USD 5.1 bln. in account of capital and financial operation, reserve assets have increased by USD 3.1 bln. The average price of crude oil has been USD 67 during the period, non-oil export increasing by 44% amounted to USD 2.6 bln.
