Baku. Nicat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The total turnover of transactions on all instruments on Baku Stock Exchange made AZN 1 862,161 mln. for January-March 2009, down 11.47% from the same period last year, Baku Stock Exchange said in an press release.
94.07% of all transactions were carried out with government securities.
The Notes’ primary and secondary markets dropped by 69.62% and 33.05% respectively. Transactions with government securities dropped by 15.64% with repo transactions falling by 7.18%.
No transactions with corporate bonds were made in primary market. The highest growth – a 656-fold surge - was in secondary stock market while primary stocks market jumped by more than 5 times.
