Azerbaijan cbank foreign capital balance improves

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of March 1, net foreign assets of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at minus AZN 774.3 million, a 10.9% decline on early this year.
Commercial banksâ€™ net foreign assets was plus AZN 118.7 million in March last year, but the figure started to decline sharply from April and reached a lowest level of minus AZN 868.8 million on January 1, 2009.
Here net foreign assets are understood as the balance banksâ€™ of foreign assets and foreign liabilities.
Minus standing before the figure shows that the banksâ€™ foreign assets are exceeded by foreign liabilities.
