Azerbaijan sees a 56% decline in foreign fixed capital investment

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As against a year ago, foreign fixed capital investment dropped by 55.7% in Azerbaijan during January-February, said the State Statistical Committee.
The top body said the amount of foreign investment in fixed capital reached AZN 177.4 million.
Of this, AZN 167.6 million or 94.5% was made by British, U.S., Japanese, French, Norwegian and Turkish investors.
Domestic investment in fixed capital accounted for 83.9%, leaving 16.1% for foreign fixed investment in the country.
