Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Consumer goods and service prices fell by 0.8% in February, as compared to January, said the State Statistical Committee.
The top body said the price fall was 10.3% for January-February.
According to month-on-month basis, foodstuff prices dropped by 1.2%, nonfood prices by 0.2% and service prices by 0.1% in January. Consumer price fell by 1.4% during the two months.
â€œThe price fall was 11.9% for foodstuffs, 8.5% for nonfoods and 7.5% for services during January-February,â€ said the State Statistical Committee.
In the statement, the top body doesnâ€™t rule out the probability of deflation at the year-end.
