Economic Research Center says deflation was 2.34% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguliyev â€“ APA-Economics. Consumer Price Index dropped by 0.81 percent in Azerbaijan during February, said according to the Economic Research Centerâ€™s report based on the Alternative Inflation Methodology Development Project.
The report is based on surveys on goods and services in 11 regions of the country.
According to the report, deflation was 1.15 percent in foodstuffs, 0.27 percent in nonfoods and 0.60 percent in services.
The price drop was 0.88 percent in Baku and 0.75 percent in regions.
The report said Consumer Price Index dropped by 2.34% during January-February.
The USAIDâ€™s Alternative Inflation Methodology Development in Azerbaijan Program was launched in 2007.
