Azerbaijan posts 67% growth in deposits in home currency

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Personal deposits in Azerbaijan-based banks grew 32.2%, year-on-year, to AZN 1.8 billion during January-November, 2008.
The State Statistical Committee said 53.5% of the deposits were held in the national currency and the rest in foreign currencies.
The amount of home-currency deposits grew 67.1% and foreign-currency deposits rose 6.5%.
