Atrabank sees 10% assets growth

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As at January 1, Azerbaijan-based Atrabankâ€™s assets stood at AZN 35.181, up 9.9% on a year earlier.
The bank said loan portfolio dropped 0.8% to AZN 24.440 million, including consumer loans rising 14.4% to AZN 4.536 million, and deposit portfolio decreased 17.2% to AZN 4.067.
Total capital went up 0.2% to AZN 11.058 million and authorized capital grew 3.5% to AZN 10.425 million.
For 2008, revenues rose 8.8% to AZN 4.153 million and expenditures increased 10.2% to AZN 4.122 million.
Profit fell 2.5 times, year-over-year, to AZN 31 060.
The bankâ€™s tax expenses increased 14.2% to AZN 177 000, and PR and marketing spending halved to AZN 12 000.
The bank established 2 branches, 6 ATMs and 27 POS terminals over the past year.
The number of employees increased 22.3% to 126 and salary rose 2.1% to AZN 529 on average.
At present the bank operates 11 branches, 1 bureau of exchange, 12 ATMs and 41 POS terminals across the country.
