Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Economic Development holds a regular meeting

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. The Ministry of Economic Development has held a meeting to discuss the tasks and goals set for the ministry at a 16 January government meeting on socio-economic development of the country in 2008.
The Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev said at the meeting that the ministry has undertaken to strengthen control over the consumer market, to prevent the artificial rise in prices, reinforce anti-monopoly activities, further develop free competition, prioritize public investment projects, achieve the growth of foreign investment, increase state support to export-oriented enterprises, establish modern processing plants, increase the credit resources to businesses, improve agricultural subsidies and food security, etc.
In addition, the meeting decided to prepare an action plan to fulfill the tasks systematically and efficiently.
