World Bank Director for South Caucasus to arrive in Azerbaijan next week

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Asad Alam, who has recently been appointed as the World Bankâ€™s new Country Director for the South Caucasus Country Unit, will arrive in Azerbaijan on January 30.
The WB Office in Baku said he will travel to Azerbaijan for familiarization after Georgia and Armenia.
In this position he replaced Mrs. Dowsett-Coirolo who has retired.
Prior to this, he had been a sector manager for South Caucasus.
Mrs. Dowsett-Coirolo assumed her new responsibilities as Country Director for the South Caucasus Country Unit, Europe and Central Asia Region in 2002.
