Azerbaijan posts economic growth rate at 11% in 2008

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Gross domestic product â€“ the output of goods and services produced by labor and property in Azerbaijan - grew 10.8% or AZN 3.7 billion, year-over-year, during 2008, to AZN 38 billion.
The State Statistical Committee said GDP per capital went up 9.5% or to AZN 4 439.9 ($5 403.9).
The top body said GDP came 70.8% from production and 22.1% from services.
Net tax on products and imports accounted for 7.1% of GDP.
