NBC Bank gets 32% growth in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, Azerbaijan-based NBC Bankâ€™s assets stood at AZN 39.832 million, up 31.6% on a year earlier.
The bank said loan portfolio rose 66.6% to AZN 34.158million, deposit portfolio fell 24.4% to AZN 5.351 million, total capital went up 31.8% to AZN 14.652 million and authorized capital jumped 27.6% to AZN 13.589 million.
Consumer loans grew 96.5% to AZN 29.640 million.
Revenue for 2008 nearly tripled to AZN 10.408 million and expenditures rose by 3.2 times to AZN 9.792 million.
Profit rose 6.9% to AZN 0.616 million and net profit increased 1.8% to AZN 0.459 million.
The bank established 4 branches, 4 ATM and 44 POS terminals over the past year. The number of employees rose to 136.
Established in 1992, Ruzi Bank was renamed as NBCBank in 2002. The bank operates 6 branches, 6 bureaux de change, 4 ATMs and 44 POS-terminals.
