Azerbaijan registered $253 400 grant agreements in 2008

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev-APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Finance registered 5 grant agreement worth $234 400 secured by 4 business entities.
The funds went to the issuance of micro-credits to internally displaced and poor families for business start-up, the development of credit unions and the organization of training courses to improve the management capacity of their employees and other purposes.
In addition, 3 business entities were fined because of failing to submit copies of the grant agreements for registration with the Ministry of Economic Development in the set period.
The registration of agreements was conducted in accordance with the â€œRules of Registration of Agreements (decisions) for obtaining a arantâ€.
