Azerbaijan will not allow unlicensed insurance agents

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev-APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ministry of Finance will not allow insurance agents to do insurance business unless they get a proper license by March 15, 2009.
The ministry said the requirement is mandatory for insurance agents, and individual and legal entities aspiring to be insurance agents.
In accordance with the Insurance Law and â€œRegulations on Certification of individuals for an insurance broker license and employment in the insurance sectorâ€, an agent-to-be has to take an exam so as to get a license.
The Ministry said a commission has been set up to organize and conduct the examination. According to regulations, all information relating to the date of the exam questions and a list of examinees will sit the examination will soon be posted on the website of the Ministry of Finance.
