The number of ATMs rose 14% and POS terminals 51% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of December 1, the number of ATMs reached 1 500 in Azerbaijan, up 14% on early 2008.
The National Bank of Azerbaijan said 870 of ATMs are located in Baku.
Besides, the number of POS terminals reached 8 007 in the country, up 51% on early 2008.
Of this, 7 303 are located in Baku.
90% of POS terminals are installed in retail trade, catering and service outlets
