Cash money supply reaches 67% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of December 1, M2 money supply reached AZN 5 512.8 million, up 25.3% on earlier 2008 and 46.1% on the same period of 2007, said the National Bank of Azerbaijan.
Besides, M2 money supply increased AZN 69 million or 1.3% in October.
M2 money supply includes total cash in circulation outside banks (M0), the amount in demand accounts, current accounts, term deposits in national currency.
Cash money supply which means cash outside the central bank (M0) made AZN 3 668.5 million, up 35.2% on early 2008 and up 62.7% on December, 2007. That is to say the share of cash money supply is growing.
Cash money supply accounted for 66.5% of M2 money supply. This indicator was 61.6% in early 2008 and 59.8% in December, 2007.
