UniLeasing posts 55% rise in leasing portfolio

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of January 1, Azerbaijan-based UniLeasing Company posted its leasing portfolio at $46.2 million, up 54.5 times on a year ago. The company said the leasing contracts doubled to 750 during 2008.
Also, the value of leasing contracts increased 95.6% to $62.6 and investment rose 19.5% to $27.6 million.
UniLeasing has regional branches in Gandja, Lenkeran, Sheki, Guba and Saatli.
UniLeasing, owned by UniBank, has been in operation since 2004. The authorized capital stood at AZN 1.8 million.
