Average salary rises 23% in Azerbaijan in January-August

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. The average monthly salary stood at AZN 255.3 in Azerbaijan for January-August, up 23.4% on the same month a year earlier.
The State Statistical Committee said the highest salary was earned in mining industry, finance, real estate and leasing sectors.
In general, the fastest economic growth of the country continues to increase the take-home pay.
Employees got AZN 8.2 million in social benefits and allowances during January-July. The average salary of acting workers was AZN 124.and employees on contract earned AZN 235.7 on average a month.
