Azeri and Turkish Banks Associations sign agreement on cooperation

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. The Banks Associations of Azerbaijan and Turkey have signed an agreement of cooperation in Baku.
This agreement will allow the exchange of expertise, training and closer cooperation among banks.
Eldar Ismayilov, President of Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA), said the objective of the meeting is to expand cooperation and improve Turkish banks’ access to Azeri market.
Ekrem Keskin, Secretary General of Turkish Banks Association, added that several Turkish banks are negotiating on the establishment of their offices in Azerbaijan.
Established in 1990, ABA has to date signed agreements with 15 countries.
ABA joins 43 banks and 4 nonbank organizations.
