National Bank of Azerbaijan enjoys limited levers to curb inflation

He added that the central bank is doing what is necessary to rein in inflation.â€œNecessary measures are being taken by the instruments in the hands of the central bank, but the number of these instruments is very limited. We are taking measures against monetary factors that form inflation. Such levers include levers like the increase of reserve norms and currency regulation,â€ he added
He noted that prices of energy and fuel also have impact on inflation.
According to official data, annual inflation is over 20% in Azerbaijan now.
Inflation is predicted in the range of 18-25% for the year-end.
