The amount of insured bank deposits hits AZN 2.776 bln in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has collected calendar fees from 43 bank in Q1, 2012.
The ADF press service said the fees were AZN 1.871 mln for national currency, $1.641 mln for the dollar and â‚¬177,000 for the euro. The total amount of insurance reserves structure made AZN 48.3 mln.

Total deposits in member banks fund amounted to AZN 4.319 billion, including uninsured deposits â€“ AZN 1.543 billion, and insured â€“ AZN 2.776 billion. At the same time, the number of insured depositors amounted to 6,125,039.

Note that deposits placed in member banks of the Fund, with an annual interest rate of over 12%, are not insured, and compensation for them is not provided. Currently, the maximum level of insurance coverage for the deposit is AZN 30
