Azerbaijan sees 26% rise in bank deposits

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-ECONOMICS. As of April 1, 2012, the volume of deposits placed at the existing credit institutions in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 9,796.5 mln, up AZN 2,045.4 mln or 26.4% compared to last year, AZN 289.5 mln or 3.1% in March, 2012.
AZN 4,298.9 mln or 43.9% in the structure of deposits made households deposits. The deposits increased by AZN 1,009.8 mln or 30.7% year-on-year, AZN 31.7 mln or 0.7% in March.

At the same time, as of April 1, the volume of legal entitiesâ€™ deposits amounted to AZN 5,497.5 mln. This figure rose AZN 1,035.5 million or 23.2%, year-on-year, AZN 321.0 mln or 6.2% in March, 2012. AZN 2,539.6 mln or 46.2% of deposits belonged to financial organizations, AZN 2,957.9 mln or 53.8% - non-financial organizations.
