Azerbaijani government and IDB to sign loan agreement â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku. Ali Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Reconstruction of water-and-sewage system in Azerbaijani regions was discussed at the meeting between the leadership of Azersu OSJC and Islamic Development Bank.

The meeting focused on financing issues about reconstruction of water-sewage systems in 6 regions â€“ Astara, Dashkesen, Samukh, Gadabay, Gazakh and Tartar.

Deputy chairman of Azersu on foreign investments Ilgar Tagiyev reminded close participation of IDB in investment projects realized in Azerbaijan. He appreciated the cooperation with the Bank in reconstruction of water-sewage systems.

Expressing satisfaction of cooperation with Azerbaijani government, head of IDB delegation Papa Sy said they were interested in supporting such projects.

Future meetings will coordinate terms of loan agreement and at the end of the visit IDB and Azerbaijani government will sign loan agreement. According to project, nearly 320,000 people will be provided with qualitative drinkable water in Astara, Dashkesen, Samukh, Gadabay, Gazakh and Tartar regions, sewage systems of these regions will be reconstructed. Besides improvement of demand for drinkable water of population, the realization of this project will give chance to open 7,000 new work places.
