Trade turnover hits historical record between Azerbaijan and Serbia

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva - APA-Economics. The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Serbia during Q1 has exceeded 2011 figure.

Vice-president of Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice President Vidosava Dzagic says the highest indicator in the volume of trade turnover between the two countries was recorded in 2010 - $5.5 mln. Last year, this figure was $4.27 mln, while it was $4.3 mln in Q1, 2012.

Dzagic notes that these results were achieved thanks to development of trade relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia, holding of business forums: â€˜Trade relation between these countries has a great potential. At present time, the cooperation exists only between companies, but we intend to lift it to higher levelsâ€™.

She noted that construction, agriculture, chemistry, pharmacology and machine-building are among the issues having mutual interest. To her, the sides decided to hold annual business-forums. Next business meeting will be held in Serbia.
