Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The 45th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Board of Governors has today kicked off in Manila. APA reports that Azerbaijan is represented at the event by the delegation led under chairmanship of FinMinister, member of ADB’s Board of Governors Samir Sharifov.
Nearly 4,000 delegates, comprising top policymakers, business leaders, media, academics, civil society, and development institution representatives, are set to attend the meeting.
Sharifov is considered to hold several business meetings within two-day event.
Note that, The Asian Development Bank is a regional development bank established on 22 August 1966. ADB is headquartered in Manila, Philippines and has offices worldwide including representative offices in North America, Europe, and Japan. ADB now has 67 members-of which 48 are from within Asia and the Pacific and 19 outside. Azerbaijan is member of ADB since December 22, 1999.
