Long-term joint projects discussed at Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Intergovernmental commission’s meeting

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva - APA-Economics. It has been decided at the meeting of Azerbaijani-Ukrainian Intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation held in Baku to start long-term joint projects and strengthen cooperation in power engineering, transport, agriculture spheres

Cooperation perspectives in sphere of delivering of Azerbaijani oil to Ukraine’s oil refineries, issues on increasing SOCAR’s investment to network of petrol filling stations in Ukraine were discussed at the meeting.

At present, SOCAR has 15 filling stations in Ukraine and oil reservoir in Odessa. Moreover, 7 filling stations and 2 reservoirs operate under SOCAR brand.

Scientific-technical cooperation in power engineering sphere between SOCAR and National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was also discussed at the meeting. Agreement has been reached on preparation of proposals on cooperation between Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies and Ukrainian National Cosmic Agency.

Besides, meeting participants exchanged views on cooperation in several international transport projects, as well as issues on joining the agreement on “Baltic Sea – development of cargo in direction of Black Sea”, signed by Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus and Lithuania.
