Baku branch of Melli Iran Bank sees 52% growth in assets

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2011, the assets of Baku branch of Mellli Iran Bank stood at AZN 56.570 mln, up 51.67% from year earlier.

Bank says deposit portfolio rose 17.05% to AZN 4.181 mln, including term deposits made AZN 2.452 mln, demand deposits â€“ AZN 1.729 mln, populationâ€™s deposit â€“ AZN 1.375 mln.

At the same time, loan portfolio dropped 1.44% to AZN 9.320 mln, consumer lending slipped 17.05% to AZN 3.757 mln, loans by 12 months stood at AZN 257.450 thousand, loans for over 12 months â€“ at AZN 6.190 mln, overdue credits â€“ at AZN 2.872 mln.

Total capital soared 10.95% to AZN 13.498 mln, including authorized capital surged 4.38% to AZN 14.631 mln.

Remind that, Baku branch of Melli Iran Bank has been in operation since 1994. The bank operates 6 ATMs, 1 POS-terminal and 29 employees.
