Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of September 1, 2010, number of issued plastic cards made 4 053 thousand in Azerbaijan, up 281 000 or 7.5% compared aith a year ago, 79 000 or 2% from early of 2010. At the same time this index was down 101 000 or 2.4% in August.
CBA says that 28 553 thousand transactions were consumed via debit cards in January-August, 2010. The volume of transaction was accounted as AZN 3.437 bln. Numb er of transaction increased by 0.5%, volume by 7.8% compared with year ago.
Transaction via credit cards made 1 441 thousand in amount of AZN 378 mln. The number of credit cards rose 14.6% and volume – 11.8% compared with a year ago.
