Azerbaijan sees growth in bank deposits

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. As of September 1, 2010, the total amount of deposits in banks stood at AZN 4 589.4 million, up 6.4% or AZN 274.8 mln on a year earlier, down 1.2% or AZN 55.8 mln on early this year, said the National Bank of Azerbaijan.

According to CBA, the household deposits made AZN 2 720.8 mln, non-financing organizationsâ€™ deposits stood at AZN 1 868.6 mln. The share of individuals in structure of the deposits makes 59.3%.

The annual growth of non-financing organizationsâ€™ deposits decreased by 18.4%, while the household deposits was 34.3%. At the same time, deposit of individuals ended up AZN 4.5 mln or 0.2% in August, while this growth on the deposit of legal entities was AZN 183.5 mln or 10.9%.
