Investment in Azerbaijan’s economy rises 11% in January-August

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. The capital invested in Azerbaijan’s economy made AZN 5 218.1 mln during January-August, 2010, up 11.3% compared wit a year ago.

State Statistical Committee says that the volume of the means spent for construction made AZN 3 441.8 mln. State organizations and enterprises spent AZN 3 075.5 mln to the construction, non-state enterprises spent AZN 2 142.6 mln.


78.9% of the capital was domestic, 21.1% was foreign investments.

State budget planned to spent AZN 3.549 bln to construction works and AZN 1 656.4 mln was spent to the construction works by the state budget.

42.5% of means directed to main capital was spent to the development of industry spheres, 5% to agriculture, 3% to trade, 26.5% to transport and storehouse economy, 1.4% to the construction, 1.1% to information and communication, 0.1% to finance and insurance activity, 8.1% to real estate, 3% to state management, 1.2% to education, 1.4% to health, 2.8% to rest, amusement and art, 0.7% to official and subsidiary services, 0.1% to profession, scientific and technical activity, 0.6% to other spheres.

AZN 3 626.6 mln of total investment directed to main capital was spent to non-oil sector, AZN 625.5 mln to non-oil industry sector, AZN 1 591.5 mln to oil sector.
