Bank credits decreases in July in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijanâ€™s commercial banks gave AZN 8 656.2 million credits to August 1, 2010 raising its volume by 19.7% in comparison with the last yearâ€™s statistics.

Sources at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics that domestic farms (consumer credit loans) take most part of the credit portfolio. It was 29.6% to August 1, 2010. This figure was reduced 1.3% throughout the year. Totally the consumer credit loans increased 12.7% to AZN 2 560.6 million in the past year. Commercial fields and services keep the second place for its volume in the credit portfolio.

A sharp growth rate was observed in the fields of energy, chemistry and natural resources. AZN 1.4 billion credits were given to this field raising it 15.8%.
