Bashak Inam sees 50% decline in profit

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-Turkey Insurance Company Bashak Inam collected AZN 1.183 mln insurance premiums during January-June, 2010, up 1.3% compared with a year ago.

Payments on insurance risks decreased by 8.5% to AZN 443 000, during the same period.

Most of the premiums came from insurance of property from fire and other risks (AZN 231 000), accident and disease insurance (AZN 172 000).

Most of claim went to Casco insurance (AZN 103.366 thousand) and Health insurance (AZN 78.466 thousand).

Note that profit made AZN 119.530 thousand during the same period, down 47% from year earlier.

Bashak Inam has been in operation since 1996. The company operates 4 compulsory and 27 voluntary insurance types.
