Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has completed collection of the regular calendar payments for the first quarter of 2010 from the member banks. The Fund said collections in the three main deposit currencies respectively made AZN 831 000 in the national currency, $1,345 million in the USD and € 172 000 in the euro.
The total amount of deposits put by individuals in the member banks reached AZN 2 385,7 million, including insured deposits of AZN 1 678 million and the number of insured deposit holders reached 5 197 888 people.
Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund has been in operation since August 13, 2007 and has 42 bank members.
